Welcome to the world of Thermal Equilibrium

Q is a stoic, socially awkward diarist whose only wish is to gain their parents approval so they'll come home for more than a week at a time become the valedictorian of their small graduating class.

Z is a self-destructive clumsy, spacy genius who just so happens to be at the top of everything, even while being unable to create bonds with others.

When they meet eachother, they quickly become close friends, much to Q's reluctance. However, they're quickly brought even closer togetehr due to the fact that the complex system that dictates the gods of their world has seemingly chosen them specifically to torture. While Q tries to gain ahold of their god-given powers, Z questions themselves and what it means to have a body when it seems like they'd do anything not to have one. But even when things they didn't even know existed a week ago are trying to kill them, and real life seems to isolate them from the rest of the world, they still silently promise eachtoher to do anything for the other... for better or for worse. It's the horror of the The Magnus Archives meets the divine devotion of Madoka Magica. Written in a mix of perspectives each chapter- from journal entries to 2nd person to 3rd person narratives- and with genderless, appearanceless protags you can project onto however you wish, Thermal Equilibrium functions both as a writing exercise and an obsession that has taken over the author's life.

And if that seems appealing to you, then click around on the rest of the site! I got tired of selling my soul to Amazon- if I pirate media, why shouldn't others pirate mine? Not sure if this site counts, but regardless, go on ahead! Q and Z are my one and onlys, if you get invested in them I will cry.

About The Author

Moth I.D is a body horror enthusiast, with a penchant for writing devotion based off of that very concept. They like cats, and neonatology, and fiber arts, and very occasionally enjoy writing.
